Soft Launch
This is the result of making a newly created website access to any desired and available domain name. This is normally done without bringing new attention to the website.
Going Live
This is the result of making a newly created website access to any desired and available domain name. This is typically followed by the act of promoting the domain name via organic or strategic means.
Swing
This is an internal term for "it's a go". In other words, you are free to proceed.
Gong
Whenever Modiphy gets a new client or project we send an alert to the "gong" channel in Slack. The alert normally shows the company name and the amount of the monthly fee paid.
Ping
Ping is usually described as a method of relaying signal back-and-forth. If you were asked to ping someone, it is usually meant to send a message or alert to an external party.
FUP
FUP is short for "Follow up"
Getting Hacked
Websites or online systems rarely ever "get hacked". Whenever someone or something is breached it's because there was some careless mistake made in protecting an otherwise secure environment. On another note, Modiphy sites do not get hacked.
CMS
CMS stands for Content Management System. This usually refers to an online system that allows users to edit their website(s).
M2
M2 covers the two newly added services Content Creation and Social Media Posting. These two services are found under the "services" area of our website.
SEO
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. This refers to the acts involved with changing a website to become friendlier and easy to index by Google. The result of good SEO helps a website appear higher in Google search results.
Digital Marketing
Digital Marketing is a method of advertising that involves creating an ad on Google or Social media platforms in the hope to invite users to find entities that match their interests. This can take place on any online platform and usually cost money to perform.
DNS
The Domain Name System is a hierarchical and decentralized naming system for computers, services, or other resources connected to the Internet or a private network. It associates various information with domain names assigned to each of the participating entities.
