Black Women Daily
Project Description
Project Overview
Black Women Daily is a website that profiles Black women throughout history, from unsung heroines to iconic trailblazers. Readers can browse a growing archive of biographies or sign up to receive short daily stories by phone or email.
Modiphy built a content-driven website that makes a large archive of biographies easy to explore and share.
The Challenge
A history archive is only useful if people can find their way through it. Black Women Daily needed a site that could organise many profiles across dozens of categories and every US state, feature a new story each day and grow a loyal audience of subscribers.
Our Solution
We built a searchable archive with filters by name, category, state and month, a Today's Featured section, and individual biography pages. The site also includes an American Timeline, an interactive map, a calendar, a reading list, daily story signup, and donate and contact pages.
The Result
Readers can now discover stories by topic, place or date, and subscribe for a daily profile, turning one-time visitors into a returning audience.
